1. Overview

JipState is a personal recordkeeping tool for organizing photos and notes about a space or property. Its purposes include move-in/out, before/after work, check-in/out, and general space records.

JipState does not require account registration or automatically upload your photos and records to an operator-run server. It uses no advertising, tracking or behavioral analytics SDKs.

2. Information you store in the app

Depending on your choices, the app may store on your device:

• project nickname
• optional address text
• photos of a space or property
• photo notes
• first, progress, and comparison records with purpose-specific names
• meter display values
• records of handed-over items such as keys or remotes
• app preferences

These records are stored in local app storage. The app does not request location permission. Imported originals may already contain location or other EXIF information recorded by the camera that created them; originals and full backups may retain that information.

3. Camera

When you choose to take a photo in JipState, the app requests camera permission. The camera is used to capture photos for the record you create.

4. Selecting existing photos

When you choose to add an existing photo, JipState is designed to use the system photo picker so that you choose the photo(s) you want to add.

5. Sharing and external services

JipState is designed not to upload project photos or records to a JipState-operated server.

If you explicitly share or save an original photo, PDF or backup file using an external service such as iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, or a messaging app, that provider may process the file under its own privacy policy and terms.

6. Advertising and analytics

JipState uses no advertising, tracking or behavioral analytics SDKs. If data practices change, this policy and store privacy disclosures will be updated together.

7. Retention and deletion

Project records are stored on your device. Deleting a project may remove the related app records and files. Deleting the app may remove locally stored app data.

For important records, create and keep a separate backup file before deleting the app or project.

8. Backup files

A backup may contain private interior photos and notes. Backup ZIP files are not encrypted. File checksums help detect corruption; they are not encryption or legal authentication. Choose storage locations and recipients carefully. Deleting records in the app does not automatically delete files you exported or shared elsewhere.

Android automatic app backup is disabled. iOS device backups and external storage services follow their operating system and service settings.

9. Children

JipState is not designed as a service directed to children and does not provide child accounts or profiles.

10. Changes

If the app’s data practices materially change, the operator should review this policy and applicable store privacy disclosures and update them as needed.

12. Support email

When you contact support, the operator uses your email address and the content you include to handle your inquiry. Support email is processed through Gmail, so relevant Google service policies also apply. Do not send passwords, private keys, full backups or unnecessary personal photos. Send privacy requests, including email deletion requests, to the contact above; any applicable legal retention obligations will be respected.
